Questions
Common questions
What is an address-history overlap signal?
If a person's residential history includes an entity's address during the period the entity was formed, TraceVeil records it as a signal. It's one of the strongest indicators that someone operates a business rather than just appearing in its paperwork.
Does TraceVeil claim beneficial ownership?
No. It surfaces operational signals and the evidence for them. Beneficial ownership is a legal conclusion that depends on facts beyond public records.
How is evidence stored?
Each source response is saved as a snapshot linked to the report and served in a sandbox, so it can be reviewed later exactly as it was retrieved.
Can we use this for claims or underwriting decisions about individuals?
Not for FCRA-covered decisions. TraceVeil is not a consumer reporting agency. Use it for investigation and research; follow your organization's policies for decisions about individuals.
